Belgravia Traffic News

January 2018

We are pleased to inform that Clive Knott is now heading up any BRA traffic issues and can be contacted at traffic@belgraviaresidents.org.uk.

Some updates on road improvements currently being reviewed by Westminster City Council.

Eaton Place / Belgrave Place - This junction is being considered for change due to the frequency and severity of "personal injury collisions". Sketches are being drawn and options considered in effort to reduce traffic accidents. Minor parking amendments and kerb build outs anticipated.

Lyall Street / Eaton Place – Options to prevent a number of traffic accidents recently include improving signage and potential for "virtual cushions". Agreed that lining will be refreshed and "Give Way" triangle installed.

Belgrave Place / Eaton Square – Possibility of this junction and road being considered for a wider 20mph limit. Note 20mph limits are currently under trial and whilst WCC are taking requests for additional 20mph locations, no decision would be taken until after the trials completion and approval.

More info on WCC’s 20mph speed limit trial here.

Wilton Crescent / Wilton Terrace – WCC will be re-instating signage to stop coaches entering this street.
