Belgravia Pub Quiz Night - 17 September

The World Cup is over but there's still a chance to get the adrenaline coursing through your veins - because Belgravia Magazine, Sue Liberman and The Star Tavern in Belgrave Mews West to organise the first...

Belgravia Pub Quiz Night

The idea is that we get representative groups from Belgravia to battle it out in a (fun) quiz to see who are the heroes and who are the zeros locally.

We would love for you to put a team together of between four to six people to battle either as a residents team or a team on behalf of your business.

There will be ten tables – tables will consist of 4 or 6 people.

Each table is asked to donate £100 between them.

The £1,000 raised will all be given to a local charity - nothing to anyone else.

This time the charity will be Hotel School - which teaches hospitality skills to homeless and vulnerable people, matches them to sustainable employment, and supports them in their first steps into work. Hotel School is a joint venture between The Passage (London’s largest voluntary sector homeless resource centre) and The Goring Hotel. It is supported by London’s Five Star hotel community, Westminster Kingsway catering school staff, and over 50 local businesses - a true coming together of the community.

The winning table will nominate the (local) charity that will benefit the next time we do the quiz.

Ollie Coulombeau (GM of The Star) is kindly providing a complimentary jug of Fuller’s beer and some snacks for each table. Following that each table then to buy their own drinks/snacks at the very reasonable Star prices.

The winning table will receive a token prize and the inestimable kudos of being featured in the October issue of Belgravia magazine.

The details are:

Venue: The Star Tavern, Belgrave Mews West

Date: Monday 17th September

Time: 6.30pm for a 7pm start

The quiz, prize presentations and charity cheque presentation won't go past 9pm.

If you would like to have a table please email Sue Lieberman, there are only ten tables available and they are sure to be snapped up pretty quickly. It will be a fun night and I look forward to seeing you there.
