Complimentary entry for BRA Members to LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair


Members of The Belgravia Residents Association have complimentary entry to the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair from Tuesday – Sunday, 13 – 18th September. For the free e-invitation for two visitors to the fair (£40 value) please email info@belgraviaresidents.org.uk.

The LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair has been described as ‘Mayfair’s modern day kunstkammer’ (World of Interiors) and applauded for its ‘inclusive appeal where buyers can be assured of authenticity’ (The Daily Telegraph). Over 100 exhibitors present work from across the art, antiques, design and decorative arts spectrum. Including jewellery, furniture, carpets, tapestries, antiquities, clocks, ceramics, silver and fine art, authenticity is assured thanks to a 70-member specialist committee pre-vetting everything on sale.

Additionally, on Friday, 16th September the Fair are hosting second annual Headline Lecture in partnership with their Cultural Partner, the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.

The breakfast lecture is complimentary and it is a great opportunity to learn about the museum’s forthcoming exhibition. The lecture details include;-

LAPADA Fair Brasserie at the LAPADA Art & Antiques Fair in Berkeley Square

The LAPADA Fair is pleased to have the Ashmolean Museum as its Cultural Partner for the second year. Dr. Francesca Leoni, Curator of the Ashmolean Museum's upcoming exhibition, Power and Protection: Islamic Art and the Supernatural, will offer her unique insight into the fascinating ‘licit’ divinatory arts practiced in medieval and early modern Muslim societies – from dream interpretation, astrology and bibliomancy to geomancy, physiognomy and the associated practices of amulet-making. Places at the lecture are free with a Fair ticket but must be booked in advance. Email talks@lapada.org to reserve your place.
