Have your say - Congestion Charge

TfL believe that it is necessary to make two changes to the discounts and exemptions available for the Congestion Charge. These changes are as follows, and are designed to reduce traffic and congestion and help improve air quality:

· Replacing the Ultra Low Emission Discount with a new phased Cleaner Vehicle Discount

· Removing the exemption to the Congestion Charge for Private Hire Vehicles

TfL also propose some minor additional changes to the scheme, including amending the boundary of the zone at the Old Street roundabout, to reflect planned improvements there.

The closing date for comments is Friday 28 September 2018. At the close of consultation TfL will collate all of the responses into a report for the Mayor, who will decide how to proceed.
