New Chelsea Barracks plans

Qatari Diar has submitted new Chelsea Barracks plans and we will keep you informed as the project develops.

Qatari Diar has submitted plans for the final phase of Chelsea Barracks, SW3.

Phase 6B will comprise 126 extra-care and affordable housing units, a public sports centre, four shops and a state-of-the-art NHS medical centre.

The 126 new homes will be split across four buildings and consist of 29 intermediate rent, 42 social rent and 55 senior living homes.

Qatari Diar said the new plans provide a 50% increase of public outdoor space, three additional affordable homes, an enlarged gym facility and another gym studio.

A spokesman said: "We identified that there was an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the community, have over-delivered on the number of homes, size requirement of the gym and the facilities and are looking to create a comprehensive retail offering to cater for the community. Phase 6B will be for the benefit of future and existing residents of this thriving neighbourhood."

Piercy & Company and Squire & Partners are architects on the final phase.
